Show 57 - Brewery Ommegang Belgian Beer

Brewery Ommegang LogoFrom Cooperstown, NY, the Home of Baseball comes Brewery Ommegang - «where brewing is an art and partaking is a passion!» Each of these beers were a treat.

Okay, we ran really long on this show. We are sorry. And we apologize. You can skip the songs if you're so inclined, but you'll be doing yourself a disservice - the music is excellent this go around.

What do Fritos and Chili, Running, and Algae Bioranches have in common? Not much. Does that stop us from talking about them? Heck no!

Beers we sampled this show...

We're stepping up the quality of the show by bringing in an informed guest to do the news segment. All in an effort to get better information to you, our listeners, in a timely manner. Please help welcome Rick Lyke from lyke2drink.blogspot.com!

R & D,
Another nice show! Just got in from Indy (back in the Motor City). Went to the garage and found a Belgain Abbey Ale from Brewery Ommegang! Although I listened to the show twice (once on the way down and the other on the way back home), I feel the need to start round three as I start sipping this wonderful brew!!!
Keep brewing

PS: Thanks for the Golden Earring at the end of the show!

Craig -
Twice? Man that's high praise! I know what you mean about the Ommegang - I just brought back several more bottles from my most recent road trip. Great suggestion on the Golden Earring. Rick and I are coming up with so many audio extras we're going to have to go to twice a week to get all the good stuff out there. Thanks for listeing and the great suggestions.

OK . . . I just left a store with the biggest selection of beer you've ever seen! Thanks to Rick & Dick, I picked up a bottle of Three Philosophers Quadrupel. I look forward to sampling this fine brew!

Hey guys, I listened to the podcast, great job, great info and great music. I went to the Ommegang website and I am going to order some beer. I look forward to trying the Belgian Beer. I will let ya know how it goes or invite you guys over for a drink.
Some music for consideration is The Black Keys, they were at the Young Avenue Deli in Memphis last week. http://www.theblackkeys.com/

Take care,

Mike, we have to get you on the show sometime. I know we talked about it during the Neighborhood National Night out, but lets firm up the plan. I'll send you an email with some details.
